Daniela has a BSc in Clinical analysis and Public Health (Health Technology Superior School of Porto, 2011). Since 2013 she is doing her PhD in the topic of G. vaginalis biofilms. Her co-supervisors are José Martinez, University of Beira Interior, and Cristina Silva, University of Minho.

“Thymbra capitata essential oil as potential therapeutic agent against Gardnerella vaginalis biofilm-related infections” addresses the potencial of using this natural product as an potential therapeutic agent against bacterial vaginosis.
